We engaged Square Design to design our new property located in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney.
Dan was overall responsible for these works and without doubt he and his team did an excellent job in delivering on the design brief we gave him.
Square Design demonstrated outstanding creativity in the way they were able to approach the design and they clearly gave much considered thought to the different spaces within the design.
It was important for us to have a home which was filled with character and interest, and Square Design were able to deliver this for us particularly through the inclusion of materials such as stone, timber, and concrete.

We worked with Square Design on a complete renovation of a hundred year old apartment in North Bondi.
It was practically unliveable when we bought it and there wasn't a lot of space to work with, but Dan transformed this into such an amazing space - respecting the building's heritage while creating a modern, bright and stylish feel.
Dan was absolute pleasure to work with throughout and I have no hesitation in recommending his work.

Square Design was engaged to design our new residence.
I believe Dan has done an outstanding job in delivering on our design brief.
He has been very creative in the way he has approached the design of the building and very sensitive in understanding the scale and proportion of the building and the relationship of different spaces within it.
Also his choice and use of materials to add interest and character to the building have been a real feature particularly the interplay of stone, timber and concrete.
He also had a very thoughtful approach and understanding to the importance of light within the building which was a particular challenge with our existing property which he had to resolve.
Dan also ensured the building design was sympathetic to the streetscape and its surrounding context.
Dan is very good on getting the detail right as well as the big picture, he is also a great listener and takes on any concerns or issues that you have and works through the best design options to resolve them.

We used Square Design to produce a design, plans & DA for the renovation of our small inner west workers cottage. There was tight budget constraints, space limitations and numerous council restrictions. They listened to our needs and gave us a design that maximised the space and provided an open airy living environment that we requested.
They were professional, responsive and open to ideas. They delivered on time and to our general specifications. They were also very open and transparent about their fees and potential construction costs involved in the design.
Luckily for us they visited the construction site on a number of occasions and picked up on a design misinteruption by the builders. It was resolved, fixed and everybody was happy.

After major issues with a previous designer and my local council I had a meeting with Square Design to see what they could do to assist. After being told that they could handle the whole issue for a reasonable price which would guarantee DA approval from council I engaged them to complete my project.
I was extremely impressed at not only their amazing designs and ideas for my project (especially given my limited budget), but also their efficiency, communication and professionalism throughout.
In a project that saw me have issues with council, builders, engineers and my certifier Square Design was a pleasure to deal with and really reminded me that some parts of the construction industry can be professional and give amazing customer service.
I am extremely happy with the final outcome that is now our family home. The design met our brief and budget with a few bonus options that add further value to the property.
